Welcome to Big Pine Trail…..

The concept behind this property is the traditions of old Montana buildings with modern conveniences. First, we have circa 1880 barn wood & tin corrugated metal exterior keeping with the historical ranches and homesteads that built Montana. The landscaping around the building uses local boulders and gravel from our mountains and streams with some grass and crushed rock for space for games and strolling around our building. Currently, we are restoring much of the field to the native Montana prairie grasses, bushes and native flowers. So the grass is long, but in a few years it will regain that native look many really love in our state.

There is a large area for plenty of parking and sitting looking over the Swan and Mission Mountains as well as Flathead Lake (the largest freshwater lake this side of the continental divide.)

We are close to many conveniences like restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, pharmacy, water sports, public boat launches, parks, etc. Please visit our wonderful Volunteer Park in the center of our town with beach front and plenty of room for volleyball and other games. We have a great hiking and mountain biking in the area as well as a great family owned ski hill called Blacktail Ski Mountain. However, don’t let this mountain be under estimated. It is great place for those starting your adventure to learn and also for those who want to ski many black diamond runs.
